We have formulated the Yokohama City Sewerage Business Medium-Term Management Plan 2022

The sewerage business in Yokohama City is managed independently as a public enterprise based on the principle of independent accounting system (Note 1) and the principle of rainwater public expenditure and sewage private expenses (Note 2)."
Since the previous plan was completed in FY2021, we have formulated the Yokohama City Sewerage Business Medium-Term Management Plan 2022, which sets out the direction of measures, business management, and financial management for sustainable sewerage management and specific initiatives.

(Note 1) Principle of independent accounting system: Principle of operating expenses by income from business and continuing business with independence
(Note 2) Principles for Rainwater Public Expenditures and Sewage Private Expenses: The principle that the treatment of rainwater, which is a natural phenomenon, is paid by public expenses (city tax), and sewage generated by daily life, etc. is borne by private expenses (sewerage fee).
