The 42nd Yamashita Marathon, sponsored by the Yamashita Union Neighborhood Association
On Sunday, January 29, the 42nd Yamashita Marathon (Chairman, Yamashita Union Neighborhood Association Shigeharu Suganuma) was held.
This course is full of local colors using Nishi Hassaku and Koyama Farm Road. On the day of the event, a total of 303 players, from infants to elementary and junior high school students and the general public, run through a 2-kilometer or 4 km course. From the ward office, I, Deputy Director General, Yamashita District Manager, and Mr. Ward Administration Promotion Division participated.
In the severe cold, my chest screamed and cheered desperately as much as I could, and cheered desperately.
Following the Midori Ward Running Festa 2022 in December, Panasonic Angels players (= Captain Shiori Morita, Sakiko Naito, Yuka Hori), a local company famous for women's relay race, also rushed as guest runners.
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the Neighborhood Association, the Youth Development Association and other related organizations for their efforts in organizing the Games.
There are many events that have to be canceled, but we hope that measures against corona infectious diseases will reach a new stage, various events by local residents will resume, and we hope that such local traditional events will continue forever.
Greetings from Chairman Suganuma of Yamashita Union Neighborhood Association

"From the eyes! "Radio Exercise" course
From 10:00, a radio gymnastics course was held at the Green Sports Center hosted by the ward Regional Promotion Division (* co-sponsored by the Green Sports Center, Cooperation and Midori Ward Sports Promotion Committee Liaison Council).
This course was planned in FY2021, and although we had been recruiting participants, we were forced to cancel just before due to the spread of COVID-19. We received a large number of voices who wanted to hold the event, and we planned and recruited again. On the day of the event, about 120 people, mainly middle-aged and elderly people, participated.
Lecturer Mika Okamoto and assistant Reina Tateno and Hiroko Totsuka, who are familiar on NHK TV and radio, came.
I receive very cheerful, fun and easy-to-understand explanations and guidance, but I am surprised that it is completely different from the movements I have learned from when I was a child. Listen to the original purpose of each movement, and realize that it works well on each part with proper and effective movements! What the organizer says, it was exactly "eyes and scales."
The severe cold winter continues, but as one of the exercises that you can feel free to think of, please send healthy days with radio exercises.
Fold it forward while being conscious of the body's growth.
I also learned how to sit in a chair.
It feels good if you turn your body large.
Mr. Okamoto, assistant Mr. Tateno and Mr. Totsuka
