[43rd session] We visited the Kamoi Pumping Station.

On Thursday, October 6, I visited the "Kamoi Pumping Station" along the Tsurumi River in Higashi Hongo-cho.
The Kamoi Pumping Station is one of the sewerage facilities under the jurisdiction of Environmental Planning Bureau. It is a very important facility to prevent flood damage by pumping rain that has fallen mainly in some low areas of Midori Ward to the Tsurumi River.
In order to operate a large pump, two large diesel generators are equipped with two large diesel generators that can be used for ships, and the size of the pump station was realized. To complement the drainage capacity of the Kamoi pumping station, it is stored on a large-scale rainwater trunk line with a maximum diameter of 8.5 meters, which is 30 meters below ground, connecting to Kanagawa Wastewater Treatment Plant, which is located about 7 kilometers ahead of Higashi-Kannagawa Station.
In order to protect the safety and security of inhabitants of the ward, measures against heavy rain disasters are also taken. We will continue to work with related departments on disaster prevention measures in reduce disaster damage.
