Around the Tsurumi River near Kamoi Station, "Midori, River and Wind Association" (representative: Minami (Minami) Chojiro) continue activities such as cleaning and flower planting on a daily basis. . I visited on Thursday, April 21 that the turf cherry trees planted by the members of the association were at their best.
I also participated in the planting last March, but at that time, the small plant had grown to about four times the size, and I was even more impressed by the whole turf cherry tree. This year, we planted about 300 new turf cherry trees, so we look forward to seeing the upgraded turf cherry tree next spring.
Also, beside Kamoike Bridge, cute carp streamers created by elementary school students around Kamoi were displayed and swimming in the wind.
Some of the members of the Midori River and Wind Association seem to pick up trash every morning before 5:00 am so that commuters can walk comfortably, and three to four bags of garbage gather each time .
I realized again that it was thanks to the activities of the local people that I was able to enjoy the seasonal scenery of the riverbed. Please follow the manners and take a walk.
