[63rd session] The 35th Midori Ward 26th Aoba Kumin Ekiden Tournament and Midori Ward Running Festa 2022 were held!

On the morning of Saturday, December 24, the Midori Ward Min Ekiden Tournament hosted by the Midori Ward Association of Sports Federations (Chairman: Hideo Mochizuki) was held at Shin-Yokohama Park (Nissan Field Small Desk) jointly with the Aoba Kumin Ekiden Tournament. .

The day was blessed with wonderful sunny weather in the cold and clear air of early morning winter, and it was a great day to run.
More than 500 athletes participate, divided into "elementary and junior high school", "general boys (including high school students)", "middle-aged boys (over 40 years old)" and "general gender mixed section". Four people formed a team, and I felt that my heart became hot while attending as a starter in a hot battle that tried to connect with each other as "fast even one second."

In the afternoon, the Midori Ward Running Festa 2022 (Executive Committee Chair: Takayuki Hirai) was held for the first time in three years after being canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
During this time, the temperature was so high that it felt the heat in the sun, and about 100 participants ran on a 5km course while sweating refreshingly.

From the Panasonic Women's Athletics Club `` Panasonic Angels '', which also supported the tournament, Shiori Morita, Minami Ito, Yukina Kawaguchi, and Mika Kikkawa as guest runners while supporting the participants. After running, we also received a certificate of commendation to the top prizewinners.

Thanks to the efforts of the people involved, both tournaments have been successfully held. We hope that today's tournament will be memorable for everyone who participated, and that you will be able to feel a lot of fun of running and growing joy.
