The Midori International Exchange Lounge (opened in March 2021) is developing a business aimed at creating a city where foreigners with different languages, cultures and customs and Japanese people can understand each other and live.
After a foreigner using the lounge listened to a lecture on disaster prevention, Japanese volunteers and local people worked together to create the “Multicultural Symbiosis Karuta“ Disaster Prevention ””.
I see! It is "Karuta" that contains plenty of perspectives and easy-to-understand expressions unique to foreigners who feel like it.
Why is it karuta?
Karuta allows you to learn words and wisdom of life while playing. In the event space on the first floor of the ward office, a panel display of picture cards will be on display until Thursday, April 21, so please take a look and feel it. (It is also posted on the website of the Midori International Exchange Lounge.)
