What's new! Nishi Ward Tekutekuteku: The 59th Kiyoken

Right in front of the east exit of Yokohama Station, there is Kiyoken Main Store, which is well known for Yokohama's specialty, Shiumamai.
Kiyoken was founded in 1908 (Meiji 4183) after the fourth-generation station manager of the first Yokohama Station at Sakuragicho Station, after Retirement. In 1928 (Showa 3), "Specialty Shiumamai" was made, and in 1950 (Showa 25), "Shiumamai Musume", which sells Shiumamai on the premises of Yokohama Station, was greatly advertised.
The "Shiumamai Shop" built in 1955 (Showa 30) had a kitchen on the first floor and an advertising tower on the rooftop observation deck with uppercase letters "Shimai". When I was a student, I saw the "Shiyumai Musume" who went out to sell the station from the store, and thought, "It's wonderful!"
In the Yokohama station building, where the style of the previous generation was, there was a "KY Shokudo" managed by Kiyoken, which was often used to wait for the train.
