Illustration of Nogeyama Fudoson

Near the Nogezaka intersection in front of the municipal Chuo-toshokan, there is a west approach to Nogesan Fudoson. There is also a way to climb the long steep stairs from Ongaku Dori near Sakuragicho Station.
Nogeyama Fudoson is commonly known and officially Naritasan Yokohama Betsuin Enmeiin. It was established in 1870 (Meiji 3) after the opening of Yokohama Port by transferring the spirits of the Shingon sect Omotoyama Naritasan Shinshoji Temple. Six years later, after receiving land donation, he moved to his current location.
The main ancestor is Fudo Myo, which is said to be the secret Buddha of the Tokugawa family. It has been loved by Yokohama citizens as a religion of common people. I have a nostalgic memory that I was brought by my mother when I was a child.
The current main hall was completed in 2015 (2015). From the grounds of the hill, you can see the Minatomirai district and the streets of Noge.
As I was sketching, I heard the voice of the sutra and the sound of the taiko drummer.
