List of Targets for Tozuka Library in 2024

This year, Tozuka Library will focus on the following goals. This list of goals is based on the basic policy and direction of initiatives of the "Yokohama City Library Vision", and also based on the "Yokohama City Medium-Term Plan", "Yokohama City Educational Promotion Basic Plan", "Reading Activity Promotion Goals" of each ward, etc. Has been formulated.

Basic Policy 1 Library for children who will lead the future

Direction of Initiatives: Create opportunities to expand the world of children.

Enhance books for children and books for child care

Efforts

  1. Enhance children's books. (Full year)
  2. Purchase materials that are useful for raising children. (20 books)

We will create an environment where both individuals and groups can spend time with peace of mind.

  2. Create a crisis management manual. (Full year)
  3. We will strive for safety measures in the museum. (Full year)

We provide experiences and play that can be enjoyed in various senses, such as touching and listening.

  2. In cooperation with the Tozuka Pumping Station (Sakae Daini Water Reclamation Center), we will hold tours and research for elementary school students. (August)

We connect knowledge and experience to draw out the desire to "want to know" and "create" and respond to it.

We will hold exhibitions that satisfy the intellectual curiosity of children. (Full year)

Direction of Initiatives: We will prepare an environment and facility that will make you want to go with your child as many times as you want.

Create a space that allows children's lively voices and the buzz of their activities.

Efforts

Information is regularly sent to the public information Yokohama Totsuka Ward version, the library website, the X (former Twitter) account of the library and ward office, and local radio stations. (Full year)

Direction of Initiatives: We support child, child care generation in connection with child care support facility and school, area and the connection.

We will respond to the needs of the child-rearing generation and provide services.

Direction of Initiatives: Ensure that everyone has access to knowledge and information

We will enhance materials and services to realize reading barrier-free.

  3. We will try to borrow and promote reading aids. (Full year)

We collect a wide range of books and enhance the collection in order to create opportunities to get acquainted with books and learn deeply.

  1. Enhance materials that are useful for solving problems of inhabitants of a ward. (Full year)
  2. We will enhance materials that meet the needs of users. (Full year)
  3. We will make use of donations to enhance materials. (200 general book library books)

Connect books and information with people

We will create an inclusive environment that is easy for anyone to use regardless of age, disability, nationality, etc.

Basic Policy 3 Library for towns and communities

Direction of Initiatives: It will be a platform for community development where you can meet the appeal of the region.

We will create a unique library according to the characteristics of the region.

  1. In cooperation with the ward office, we will hold a reading activity promotion liaison meeting where schools, ward offices, and libraries exchange opinions. (June and February)

  4. Collect children's books (children's SOS books) related to abuse, bullying, poverty, etc. (10 books)

Visitors to the library will learn about the charm of the area and become a base that connects with the town.

Basic Policy 4 Easy-to-use library services

Direction of Initiatives: Utilizing digital technology, we provide library services that can be used anytime, anywhere.

Acquire the skills needed in response to changes.

We carry out OJT to improve knowledge and skills according to the career stage of each staff member and participate in training. (Full year)

Direction of Initiatives: We will continue to provide efficient and effective services and enhance tools.

We will actively work to create financial resources.
