List of Targets for the Tsuzuki Library in 2024
This year, the Tsuzuki Library will focus on the following goals. This list of goals is based on the basic policy and direction of initiatives of the "Yokohama City Library Vision", and also based on the "Yokohama City Medium-Term Plan", "Yokohama City Educational Promotion Basic Plan", "Reading Activity Promotion Goals" of each ward, etc. Has been formulated.

Basic Policy 1 Library for children who will lead the future
Direction of Initiatives: Create opportunities to expand the world of children.
Enhance books for children and books for child care
Efforts
- We collect books on support for child-rearing generations. (50 books)
- Replace and replenish large picture books, picture books and picture-story shows related to seasons and events. (45 books)
- Enhance books (science, biography, environmental fields) of knowledge suitable for research purposes. (30 books)
We connect knowledge and experience to draw out the desire to "want to know" and "create" and respond to it.

- We will hold a summer vacation children's eco workshop. (July)

Efforts
We go to facilities and events in the city and carry out "Miyatochuzu Outing Library" to introduce books and talk parties.

For parents and children of 4-month-old child medical examination, we carry out story open space business of children's song and picture book. (Twice a month)
Direction of Initiatives: We support child, child care generation in connection with child care support facility and school, area and the connection.

Basic Policy 2 Libraries for All Citizens
Direction of Initiatives: Ensure that everyone has access to knowledge and information
We will enhance materials and services to realize reading barrier-free.
Efforts
- We carry out reading barrier-free enlightenment exhibition. (April)
- In order to enhance the "apple shelf", we will purchase sign language and Braille books and books to understand disabilities. (15 books)
We collect a wide range of books and enhance the collection in order to create opportunities to get acquainted with books and learn deeply.
Efforts
- Books of high interest to the elderly, large print books (40 books), books related to nursing care and disability support (30 books), books that support the child-rearing generation (50 books), business-related books for active generations (60 books).
- We will replace materials that are often used in the collection of Teens Corner and have deteriorated over time, and collect books for junior and senior high school students introduced in the "Yokohamano Teens" list. (20 books)
- We will update collections in the field of home economics (cooking, handicrafts, childcare, etc.) that have deteriorated over time. (118 books)
- We will reinforce reference books and standard books in the fields of humanities such as history, art, psychology, and language. (60 books)
Connect books and information with people
Efforts
Books (monthly) and special exhibitions will be held in each corner of the general public, teens, and elementary school student, according to the seasons and various themes. (about 10 times)

We will create an inclusive environment that is easy for anyone to use regardless of age, disability, nationality, etc.

- We support dementia support activities by participating in the Tsuzuki Ward Dementia Support Liaison Committee and providing books to help prevent and raise awareness of dementia.
- We carry out "lively reading classroom" for elderly people. (September and October)

It will be a place where various experiences and creative activities can be carried out.

Basic Policy 3 Library for towns and communities
Direction of Initiatives: It will be a platform for community development where you can meet the appeal of the region.
We will create a unique library according to the characteristics of the region.
