List of targets for the 2024 Kohoku Library
This year, the Kohoku Library will focus on the following goals. This list of goals is based on the basic policy and direction of initiatives of the "Yokohama City Library Vision", and also based on the "Yokohama City Medium-Term Plan", "Yokohama City Educational Promotion Basic Plan", "Reading Activity Promotion Goals" of each ward, etc. Has been formulated.

Basic Policy 1 Library for children who will lead the future
Direction of Initiatives: Create opportunities to expand the world of children.
Enhance books for children and books for child care
Efforts
- Based on the locality where the number of births and the number of children under the age of 15 are the largest in the city, we collect materials according to the annual document collection plan.
- For the purpose of quantitative enhancement of children's books, we collect mainly picture books and classic stories that have been read for a long time. (420 books)

We will enhance materials and services to realize reading barrier-free.
Efforts
Services provided by the library, such as a "face-to-face reading" service for those who have difficulty reading with type materials, an "enlarged reading machine" that can enlarge and read books, and a large type "large type" book. I will introduce it in an easy-to-understand manner.

- By holding lectures on Keio University Hiyoshi Campus and Koseki Castle, we will create an environment where students can learn about the history of Kohoku Ward and deepen their learning.
- We will enhance books on "Koseki Castle" and the history of the Middle Ages, and plan to utilize them at lectures on "Koseki Castle".
Visitors to the library will learn about the charm of the area and become a base that connects with the town.
