The C40 Green Port Forum (external site) was held in Barcelona from November 6 to 8, 2024. City of Yokohama, Port and Harbor Bureau hosted the session on “Yokohama's Innovative Grid Solutions: Utilizing Electric Carriers and Offshore Wind Power”.
・What is C40 (external site)?
It is a network of cities composed of major cities around the world that are working on climate change countermeasures.
Each city is working on the following goals.
①Halving the proportion of emissions by 2030
②Reducing global temperature rise to 1.5°C
③Building a healthy, fair, and resilient community
・What is the C40 Green Port Forum?
This is the basis for cooperation between cities and ports with the goal of reducing air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions and benefiting local communities.
Through the Green Port Forum, C40 supports cities and ports to achieve common goals.
