Last Updated October 23, 2023
On October 11, 2023, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) participated in the "Port Actions for Green Shipping" workshop held in Mumbai, India as one of the GreenVoyage 2050 projects, along with the International Port Association (IAPH) and Yokohama Kawasaki International Port Co., Ltd. (YKIP) to introduce the future role of Yokohama Port Transport and the shift to next-generation ship fuel.
From Yokohama City, we introduced Rightship's Maritime Emission Portal (a system for grasping GHG emissions), a council for the spread of Hokuriku Electric Power for coastal ships, and the Environmental Ship Index (incentive system for environmentally friendly ships). YKIP introduced the Ship-to-Ship LNG bunkering initiatives.
