Formation of LNG bunkering base (fuel supply base)

Last Updated November 14, 2022

The city of Yokohama is working to promote the spread of LNG (liquefied natural gas), the only next-generation vessel fuel that can be used today.
As an international strategic container port policy, we will establish a bunkering base at Yokohama Port for the increasing number of LNG-fueled vessels. By making Yokohama Port a LNG bunkering base, we will promote port calls on main North American routes and aim to reinvigorate as a hub port in East Asia.
※Bunkering: To supply fuel to ships.
