Encouragement system for environmentally friendly ships

In order to promote Yokohama Port's environmental initiatives both inside and outside Japan and strengthen international competitiveness, we have implemented an incentive system to promote port calls for environmentally friendly ships.
As part of the formation of carbon neutral ports, we will establish a new incentive system for LNG-fueled vessels and LNG bunkering vessels in order to promote the spread of environmentally friendly LNG-fueled vessels and expand the system to promote environmentally friendly ships. (From April 1, 2021)
1 Reduction of entry fees for LNG-fueled vessels and LNG bunkering vessels are reduced. [Expansion]
2 Reduction of the quay fee for LNG bunkering vessels will be reduced. [Expansion]
3 Participate in the ESI (Environmental Ship Index) system operated by IAPH (International Port Association) and the Green Award Foundation (hereinafter referred to as the "GA") to reduce or exempt entry fees for foreign-going vessels with a certain level of ESI Index, which quantifies emissions levels of emissions or ocean-going vessels that have been certified by the Green Award Foundation.
