In order to promote Yokohama Port's environmental initiatives both inside and outside the country, and to strengthen international competitiveness, we have implemented an incentive system to promote environmentally friendly vessels calling.
As part of the formation of a carbon neutral port, we will establish a new incentive system for LNG-fueled vessels and LNG bunkering vessels to promote the spread and port calls of environmentally friendly LNG-fueled vessels, and expand the system to promote the entry of environmentally friendly vessels. (From April 1, 2021)
1 Reduction of entry fees for LNG-fueled vessels and LNG bunkering vessels. [Expansion]
2 Reduction of quay usage fees for LNG bunkering ships. [Expansion]
3 Participate in the ESI (Environmental Ship Index) system operated by IAPH (International Port Association) and the Green Awards Foundation (GA), and reduce the entry fee for ocean-going vessels with a certain level of ESI index that quantifies emissions levels or ocean-going vessels certified by the Green Awards Foundation.
