City of Yokohama, Board of Education Secretariat is looking for nurses to provide medical care for elementary school student students at special needs schools in the city. If you are applying, please apply according to the following guidelines.

We are looking for a chief-level school nurse.

This page is the recruitment guide for chief class. Please note that it is different from the recruitment guide for regular slots and welfare vehicle ride slots.

  • The application form is in common. There is a column in the middle of the application form that describes [the desired job type], so be sure to fill it out.
  • Application qualifications, application acceptance period, working conditions, etc. are different, so please check each content carefully.
  • Interviews for [Normal slot], [Share slot], and [Chief level] for concurrent applicants will be conducted on the same day. Evaluation will be conducted in each case.

Recruitment of Yokohama City Special Needs School Nurses (Chief Level)

Eligibility

  1. Those who have a regular nurse license (required)
  2. Those who have worked at Yokohama City Special Needs School for more than 2 years in the last 3 years

※ Those who fall under the disqualifications of Article 16 of the Local Public Service Act cannot take the exam.

※ There is no upper limit on age.

Selection

 We will decide who will be hired by interview.
  ・Scheduled interview date: Monday, February 17, Tuesday, 18th, Wednesday, 19th,
           Thursday, 20th and Friday, 21st
  ・Interview location: Yokohama City Hall (10, 6-50 Honcho, Naka-ku, Yokohama City)
 If you are going to be hired, you will be asked to consult physical checkup at the time of hiring.
  ・Date and time: We are planning to have a medical examination in April.

Overview of Application

Employment period

1 year from April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026 
(*There is an update rule.)
※ If a job with the same job content is set up after the expiration of the above appointment period, and if the results of the proof of competence are good, it may be re-appointed regardless of public offering. (up to 4 times)
※ After the appointment of up to four times, the selection will be made again by open call for participants.
※ Due to the application of the Local Public Service Act, it will be adopted conditionally, and the conditional recruitment period may be extended if the number of working days in one month after recruitment does not meet 15 days.

Major Operations

(1) Comprehensive understanding, guidance and implementation of medical care for those who need medical care and advanced medical care in school life among elementary school student students enrolled in special needs schools.
(2) Medical care Targets elementary school student Student Breath Control and Management
(3) Initial response to emergencies, guidance and advice on crisis management systems
(4) Understanding and management of the latest medical care information and technologies such as prevention of infectious diseases
(5) Improvement of medical care and advanced medical care implementation environment
(6) Supervision of special support school nurses, such as advice and guidance for equalizing the quality of medical care between schools.
(7) Coordination with Board of Education Secretariat and training programs
(8) Other disaster response services in the event of a large-scale disaster (basically auxiliary services, only during working hours)
(9) Other items deemed necessary by the superintendent of education

Workplace and school in charge

 I work mainly at the Board of Education Secretariat Special Needs Education Division, and I am in charge of several of the following special needs schools for the physically challenged in the city.
 ※The schools and numbers in charge will be adjusted, including the wishes of the applicant, and will be consulted as soon as the successful applicants are determined.

9:00 to 17:00 (including 1 hour break)

HolidaysSaturdays, Sundays, national holidays, New Year's holidays
※ Working several times a year for school events
Monthly salary

307,720 yen (planned) ※ The amount is subject to change due to the revision of the system.
In addition, term-end allowance and diligence allowance will be paid in June and December.

Vacation

16 days of annual vacation, 5 days of summer vacation, etc.
※ If you were hired on April 1. The number of days granted for leave varies depending on the date of employment.

※ Transportation expenses will not be paid if the commuting distance and the operating distance of the transportation used are less than 1 km.
