City of Yokohama, Board of Education Secretariat recruits nurses (fiscal year appointment staff) to provide medical care for elementary school student students at special needs schools. If you are applying, please apply according to the following guidelines.

Eligibility for application

    Those who have a regular nurse license (required)

※ Those who fall under the disqualifications under Article 16 of the Local Public Service Law cannot take the exam.

※ There is no upper limit for age.

Job Types

Municipal special support school nurse

Term of employment

For one year from May 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025 (* Renewal regulations apply)
※ If your work performance is good, you may be re-appointed up to four times. After the appointment of up to four times, the selection will be made again by public offering.
※ Due to the application of the Local Public Service Law, recruitment will be conditional, and if the number of working days per month after recruitment does not meet 15 days, the conditional recruitment period may be extended.

Main Business
  1. Medical care in school life for elementary school student students
  2. Training on medical care (specific act) for teachers
  3. Other services related to medical care
  4. Other disaster response operations in the event of a large-scale disaster (basically assisted work, only during working hours)
Schools at work

 Please note that one of the following plans.
 However, depending on the availability of future vacancies, etc., we may consider including nurses placement schools and three other schools.
 We will make adjustments including the applicant's wishes and will be notified when the pass notification is sent.

Working daysWorking from Monday to Friday 5 days a week
Working hours

From 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (including 60 minutes break)

HolidaysSaturdays, Sundays, national holidays, New Year's holidays
※ Work at school events several times a year
Monthly salary

234,500 yen (as of April 2024) ※ The amount of money is subject to change due to system revision.
In addition, year-end and diligent allowances are provided in June and December.

Vacation

15 days of annual leave, 5 days of summer vacation, etc.
※ This is when it was adopted on May 1st. The number of days of leave varies depending on the hiring date.

Transportation expenses

Payments equivalent to actual expenses
※ Transportation expenses will not be paid if the commuting distance and the operating distance of transportation are less than 1 km.

Social insuranceJoined employee health insurance (Yokohama City Mutual Aid Association), Employees' Pension Insurance and employment insurance
Disaster compensationwork related accidents and others are compensated under the Workmen's Accident Compensation Insurance Law
Others

No smoking on the premises of the school.
Applicants will be required to consult physical checkup at the time of employment after passing.
