In the "Yokohama City Global Warming Countermeasures Action Plan" revised in October 2018, Yokohama City has set the goal of realizing "Zero Carbon Yokohama" decarbonization by 2050. Therefore, on February 6, 2019, as a similar example of cooperation, we concluded a "Cooperation Agreement on Renewable Energy" with 12 municipalities in Tohoku, the largest in Japan, and a regional recycling symbiosis area through renewable energy. Discussions have been underway to build a sphere.
This time, we will report that we will start using electricity from Yokohama-cho, Aomori Prefecture by nine small and medium-sized enterprises in Yokohama City as the second initiative based on the cooperation agreement. Combined with the first installment announced on September 5, this year, 15 companies in the city are currently using Yokohama-cho electricity.
