In the "Yokohama City Global Warming Countermeasures Action Plan" revised in October 2018, Yokohama City aims to realize a decarbonized "Zero Carbon Yokohama" by 2050. Therefore, on February 6, 2019, we concluded a “Renewable Energy Cooperation Agreement” with 12 municipalities in Tohoku, the largest similar cooperation case in Japan, and established a regional recycling symbiosis area through renewable energy. We have been discussing to build.
We are pleased to report that nine small and medium-sized enterprises in Yokohama City will start using electricity from Yokohama Town, Aomori Prefecture as the second initiative based on the cooperation agreement. Combined with the first one announced on September 5, this year, 15 companies in the city currently use electricity from Yokohama.
