Yokohama City and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation will launch initiatives aimed at realizing a resource-recycling eco-cycle.

Yokohama City is promoting initiatives in cooperation with citizens, companies, universities, etc., centered on the Yokohama SDGs Design Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Design Center") to realize "SDGs Future City Yokohama".
Yokohama City and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Makoto Takashima; hereinafter referred to as "SMBC") have signed an agreement to cooperate with each other in order to build a Yokohama-type "metropolitan model" that aims to integrate environmental, economic and social issues through such means as food loss and revitalization of local communities through such initiatives.
In the future, as one of the projects of the Design Center, we will proceed with specific initiatives with the cooperation of SMBC, such as building collaborations with companies with technologies that contribute to this initiative, and financial support for financial companies such as finance.
