In the "Yokohama City Global Warming Countermeasures Action Plan" revised in October 2018, Yokohama City aims to realize a decarbonized "Zero Carbon Yokohama" as early as possible in the second half of this century with a view to 2050. I am aiming for it. To achieve this, on February 6, 2019, we concluded a “Renewable Energy Cooperation Agreement” with 12 municipalities in Tohoku, the largest similar cooperation case in Japan, and promoted regional circulation through renewable energy. Discussions have been underway to build a symbiosis area.
We are pleased to report that six companies in Yokohama City will start using electricity from Yokohama Town, Aomori Prefecture as the first initiative based on the cooperation agreement.
