This is the first time in Japan! Developing a virtual power plant (VPP) at the Kohoku Ward General Government Building

Under the "Zero Carbon Yokohama", Yokohama City is strengthening measures to combat global warming and energy measures, and is promoting initiatives to realize a sustainable urban model.
As part of this effort, we have installed storage battery equipment and other facilities at elementary and junior high schools (47 schools in 18 wards) designated as evacuation shelter since fiscal 2016.
This time, as the first initiative in Japan, we will apply the VPP construction project to the ward government building and install a storage battery in accordance with the power supply contract. Through the VPP construction business, we will lead to efficient energy use and strengthen our disaster prevention system.
