One of the projects of the Yokohama SDGs Design Center is to contribute to the de-plasticization of wood straws from Yokohama "SDGs Straws and Yokohama".

Yokohama City is promoting initiatives in cooperation with citizens, companies, universities, etc., centered on the Yokohama SDGs Design Center* (hereinafter referred to as the "Design Center") to realize "SDGs Future City, Yokohama".
Based on the idea and cooperation of companies, the Design Center plays a central role, we use thinned wood from the watershed forest owned by Yokohama City in Doshi Village, Yamanashi Prefecture as a raw material, and is a special subsidiary of local companies. ※The wooden straw "SDGs Straw Yokohama" produced by people with disabilities has been completed. This straw will be widely spread and expanded to restaurants and hotels in the city and other restaurants and hotels as part of the Yokohama Wood Straw Project (hereinafter referred to as the "Project").
