Greenhouse gas emissions (preliminary figures) from Yokohama city area in FY2017 were 18.64 million tons-CO2, down 1.3% year-on-CO2. Factors of decrease from the previous fiscal year include a decrease in energy consumption due to energy-saving efforts by citizens and businesses, and a decrease in the emission factor of electricity. Going forward, we will continue to promote energy conservation and renewable energy in cooperation with citizens and businesses, and reduce greenhouse gases for the realization of Zero Carbon Yokohama.
