Yokohama-produced "canna shaved tree straw" SDGs straws and Yokohama at city hotels!

Yokohama City is promoting initiatives in cooperation with citizens, companies, universities, etc., centered on the Yokohama SDGs Design Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Design Center") to realize "SDGs Future City Yokohama".
The Design Center uses thinned wood from the watershed forest owned by Yokohama City in Doshi Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, as a raw material, and is produced by people with disabilities at special subsidiaries of city companies, etc.・ We are promoting the spread and expansion of Yokohama in cooperation with various entities. Quality control is carried out by Accura Home Co., Ltd., which developed this straw.
In this initiative, we aim to solve environmental, economic and social issues and establish a lifestyle that is conscious of the SDGs, Yokohama, aiming for integrally solving environmental, economic and social issues and establish a lifestyle that is conscious of the SDGs.
Yokohama Bay Sheraton Hotel & Towers (Kitayuki Nishi-ku, Yokohama), who agreed with the purpose of this initiative, has started offering this straw at the hotel restaurant on February 5.
The Design Center will continue to promote and expand the straw to restaurants and hotels in the city and other restaurants and hotels as part of the Yokohama Wood Straw Project, and to promote the SDGs through the realization and experience of citizens and businesses. We will strive to spread the SDGs.
