Carbon offset using blue carbon offset of eelgrasss at Marine Park.

Blue Carbon (12.3t-CO2) credit from eelgrasss living in the park management area of Marine Park certified under the Yokohama Blue Carbon Offset System were transferred to Nisshin Oil Co., Ltd. Yokohama Isogo Plant and JXTG Energy Co., Ltd. Negishi Refinery, and carbon offset was implemented by both companies.
Carbon offset using blue carbon for eelgrasss is Japan's first initiative.
