Demonstration tests of hybrid railway vehicles using hydrogen as an energy source

In order to promote the utilization of hydrogen energy, East Japan Railway Company. (JR East) will produce test vehicles for hybrid railway vehicles using hydrogen as an energy source and conduct demonstration tests in Kawasaki City and Yokohama City.
Yokohama City, together with Kanagawa Prefecture and Kawasaki City, will cooperate with the company to improve the environment related to the implementation of demonstration tests.
To realize a "hydrogen society" in which hydrogen is used safely and safely, we will work to further promote the spread of hydrogen energy.
