Last Updated March 15, 2021

On Saturday, February 20, we held a lecture on biodiversity, "Global Warming Issues and What Can Our Life" was held.
The purpose of this lecture is to encourage residents of the city to be interested in global warming issues and implement environmentally friendly initiatives in Midori Ward, which is the most green in the city. This time, Midori Ward gave the first lecture on Zoom to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We had you apply for people of various ages from inside and outside the ward, and on the day, 83 people participated.
Lecturer invited Dr. Koichi Goka of the National Institute for Environmental Studies, National Research and Development Agency, who studies fire ants and other specific alien organisms, and is widely used in television and media. In this lecture, he explained in an easy-to-understand manner the serious environmental problems caused by human behavior, such as overconsumption of resources, the use of chemical substances, and the import of exotic organisms. I was drawn into Mr. Goka's enthusiasm, and it was an hour in no time.
According to the questionnaire of the participants, "I learned a lot about Mr. Goka's story very much." "It was an opportunity to think about what I can do for the coexistence of nature."
After the lecture, we released the first video of the Shimin-no-Mori and Fureai no Mori created this year, "Inquiring about Hometown Green," was unveiled. We also distribute videos on Midori Ward WEB. Please watch the video and enjoy a stroll through the forest while observing the new coronavirus infection in the refreshing spring, and enjoy a stroll through the forest.
