On Saturday, November 7, we participated in an event to enjoy a "walking through the Forest" held in Shimin-no-Mori, Kamoi Hara, despite the mild winter weather. Thanks to the opening of Shimin-no-Mori celebrating its 15th anniversary, many local people and local junior high school students participated because they planned this event. As an infectious disease prevention measure, the temperature measurement at the time of reception and make the route one-way so that the temperature measurement at the time of reception and walks are not "closed", and the protection society will also be guided to various places in the forest. Various ideas were made.
I also had Mr. Yoshikatsu Sugawara, Chairman of the Protection Society, guided me through the forest. In the past, a forest where a lot of garbage, such as old tires, was illegally dumped, but due to the accumulation of activities by local people, including the protection society, the degraded forest gradually regained its original appearance. It seems that it was. It is said that the names of unique forest paths such as "Tire Road" and "Oku no Hosomichi" were named by local children. I was impressed by the beauty of the forest, which has been maintained by many people.
Every year, after cleaning activities, baked sweet potatoes are made from sweet potatoes harvested in the field adjacent to the forest, and the participants will taste together in the forest square, but this year it is distributed as souvenirs, and the participants smile I took it home with a smile. I also enjoyed it at home and enjoyed sweet and relaxing sweet potatoes.
I would like to continue working with the members of the protection society about efforts to pass on this green forest to the next generation.
Take a walk through the forest under the guidance of Chairman Sugawara of Shimin-no-Mori Protection Association, Kamoi Hara.
