Introducing "Citizen's Forest" and "Fureai Forest" in Midori Ward.

As the name implies, Midori Ward has a lot of greenery, and a total of five citizens' forests and contact forests are open to the public in the ward.
Please enjoy walking in the forest while observing the field manners to maintain your health and change your mind.

Welcome center

At the Welcome Centers located at five locations in the city, we provide information on forest creatures, experience nature events, and provide opportunities for environmental learning to create opportunities related to forests.
One of them, the Niiharu Satoyama Exchange Center, is located in Shinji Satoyama Park, where facilities such as Shinji Citizen's Forest and the former Okutsu House are located. We hold panel displays of nature and satoyama culture of Shinji, observation sessions and satoyama experience classes.

Field Manner (Request for Use)

When you come to the forest to play, please follow the manners and enjoy a walk.
Only photos can be taken. Collect native plants and creatures and do not bring them home.

  • Do not bring plants or creatures from other places.
  • When walking with your pet, please keep it connected.
  • Use time is from sunrise to sunset.
  • Don't litter and take your garbage home.
  • Do not get off the road and step into places where entry is prohibited.
  • Fire and stoves such as barbecues cannot be used in the park.
  • Please note that there is no toilet.
