About Zero Carbon Municipal Council

Various municipalities with different backgrounds, such as scale and regional characteristics, share their knowledge, proceed with discussions on specific initiatives for realizing a decarbonized society, and effectively promote proposals to the country together. Was established on February 5, 2021 with the aim of going.

Activities

(1) Policy research for the realization of a decarbonized society and research on related issues.
(2) Recommendations to the State, etc. regarding policies for the realization of a decarbonized society
(3) Activities to promote mutual exchange and cooperation among member local governments
(4) Other necessary items to achieve the objectives of the Council

 In municipalities that have announced zero carbon in 2050, you can participate in the council by submitting a registration notice (word: 18KB) to the secretariat.

Proposals on national policies and budgets for fiscal 2025 (July 4, 2024)

On July 4, 2024, the Zero Carbon Municipality Council submitted "Recommendations on National Measures and Budgets for FY2025" to Deputy Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Kozuki and Deputy Minister of the Environment Yagi.

Proposals on national policies and budgets for fiscal 2024 (July 24, 2023)

On July 24, 2023, the Zero Carbon Municipality Council submitted "Recommendations on National Measures and Budgets for FY2024" to the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Nagamine and Minister of the Environment Yanagimoto.

Recommendations on National Measures and Budgets (November 24, 2021)

On November 24, 2021, the Zero Carbon Municipality Council submitted a "Recommendation on National Measures and Budgets" to the Deputy Minister of Finance Okamoto and the Minister of the Environment Yamaguchi.
