About Zero Carbon Municipality Council
Various municipalities with different backgrounds such as size and regional characteristics share their knowledge, proceed with discussions on concrete initiatives to realize a decarbonized society, and to effectively promote proposals to the government together.
For the time being, we will discuss specific initiatives for realizing a decarbonized society and consolidate the opinions of member municipalities, and aim to make recommendations to the government in late March 2021.

(1) Policy research toward the realization of a decarbonized society and research on related issues
(2) Proposals to the government and others on policies for realizing a decarbonized society
(3) Activities to promote exchanges and cooperation among member local governments

Proposals on national policies and budgets for fiscal 2024 (July 24, 2023)
On July 24, 2023, the Zero Carbon Municipality Council submitted "Recommendations on National Measures and Budgets" to the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Nagamine and the Minister of the Environment Yanagimoto.

Proposals concerning national policies and budgets (November 24, 2021)
On November 24, 2021, the Zero Carbon Municipality Council submitted "Recommendations on National Measures and Budgets" to the Deputy Minister of Finance Okamoto and Minister of the Environment Yamaguchi.
