[finished] "Climate Change x Art" Workshop

-Exploring the potential of art to make carbon neutrality "oneself" ~

Last Updated February 28, 2023

Outline of the event

Amid concerns about the further intensification of meteorological disasters caused by climate change, climate change measures are being taken in Japan and overseas based on the Paris Agreement, an international framework for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and the government's action plan to combat global warming. Yokohama City has just revised the Yokohama City Global Warming Countermeasures Action Plan in January 2023, and will further promote global warming countermeasures in the future.
Greenhouse gas emissions in the city are decreasing year by year, but emissions from the household sector are almost constant, and it is important to work on reducing greenhouse gases on your own.
In recent years, there have been movements to express the current state of climate change and the climate crisis through art, and it is expected that these movements will give us an opportunity to feel closer to climate change and work on our own.
Based on this background, we will hold a workshop to consider the potential of art to make carbon neutrality "oneself".
