Yamate Park Mid-Meiji Landscape in Yokohama Archives of History
Yokohama is the birthplace of parks in Japan.
It began with the opening of Yamate Park on June 4, 1870, as a park exclusively for foreign residents.
This park history is a partial revision of the chronology created in 1990 when the park was born in Yokohama City celebrated its 120th anniversary.
