Yokohama is the birthplace of a park in Japan.
Its originated on June 4, 1870, when Yamate Park was opened as a park exclusively for foreign residents.
This park history is a partial revision of the chronology created on the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the birth of a park in Yokohama in 1990.
