Please be careful about poisonous mushroom "Kaentake mushroom" in park green area

 Kaentake mushrooms have been confirmed in multiple places in the city, such as parks and Shimin-no-Mori.
※Locations confirmed after June and after August 1: Nakata Chuo Park (Izumi Ward), Maioka Park (Totsuka Ward), Seya Shimin-no-Mori (Seya Ward)
※The found Kaentake mushroom has been removed by the administrator.
 Kaentake mushrooms (the genus Trichodelmaceae) is very toxic and can lead to death if eaten accidentally. Please note that it may be mistaken for the edible mushroom Beninatatake (genus Natatake, genus Neginatatake).
 Also, do not touch it even if you find it, as it may cause skin inflammation just by touching it!
 If you find Kaentake in a park or a citizen's forest, please contact the park green space office or the civil engineering office of each ward, as the park manager will check and remove it.

Characteristics of Kaentake
Colors and shape The surface is orange to red, elongated cylindrical or bar-shaped, and clusters or monolithic as if fingers of the hand are coming out of the soil. The inside is white and hard.
The size is several centimeters to 20.㎝
Time of occurrence From summer to autumn
Location of occurrence It grows on the ground of broad-leaved forests such as oak such as beech and oak.
Symptoms From 30 minutes after eating, symptoms such as fever, chills, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, numbness in limbs, etc. occur. Two days later, death may occur due to cerebral neuropathy, such as gastrointestinal failure and motor disorders due to cerebellar atrophy.
Touching the skin may cause inflammation of the contact area.
Toxic components Tricotesenes: It is highly toxic and is poisonous when eaten or touched.
