Basic Concept for Barrier-Free Area around Futamatagawa Station

In Yokohama City, based on the Barrier-Free Law, barrier-free so that everyone, including the elderly, the disabled, and those raising children, can move smoothly and use the station and facilities. We have formulated a basic concept to promote barrier-free.
In the future, each company will create a business plan based on this basic concept, and will implement the project sequentially.

About Futamatagawa area

The Asahi Ward area of Futamatagawa Station is home to public facilities with wide area areas such as prefectural cancer centers, light centers, and driving test centers.

When considering the basic concept of barrier-free, we set up and examined the "Futamatagawa Station Area Subcommittee" consisting of academics, citizens such as the elderly and the disabled, and related businesses and administrative organizations, etc. Did.

1st District Subcommittee [August 5, 2010]

We introduced the "Barrier-Free Law" and the "Basic Barrier-Free Concept" and exchanged opinions on the current situation in the area around Futamatagawa Station.

2nd District Sub-Committee [September 29, 2010]

We examined drafts such as life-related facilities and life-related routes, and the range of priority maintenance districts, and examined the planning of a town walk inspection workshop.

Citizen opinion offer [from December 15, 2010 to January 31, 2011]

We carried out citizen opinion offer to have opinion from users widely targeting at Futamatagawa Station area barrier-free basic design draft, and carried out citizen opinion offer to reflect in development of barrier-free basic design.

The 3rd District Subcommittee "Town Walk Inspection Workshop" [January 13, 2011]

In addition to the members of the district subcommittee also participated, and after actually checking the site and summarized the issues.

4th District Subcommittee [August 3, 2011]

We arranged result of "town walk inspection workshop" and examined problem of district and measures to cope with it.

The 5th District Subcommittee [December 21, 2011]

We coordinated with each facility setting manager about measures to cope with problem of district and examined basic design original draft based on the result.
