Ichigao Station Area Barrier-Free Basic Concept

In Yokohama City, based on the Barrier-Free Law, barrier-free so that everyone, including the elderly, disabled, and those raising children, can move smoothly and use stations and facilities in areas centered on Ichigao Station. We have formulated a basic concept to promote

About Ichigao Station area

The area around Ichigao Station is home to governmental facilities such as the Aoba Ward Office and Aoba police department, cultural facilities such as public hall and Sports Center, and welfare facilities such as community care plazas and welfare and health activities.


Details of the study

The barrier-free basic concept was set up by setting up the "Ichigao Station Area Subcommittee" consisting of academics, citizens such as the elderly and the disabled, and related businesses and administrative organizations.

1st District Subcommittee [August 19, 2014]

We introduced "barrier-free law" and "barrier-free basic design" and exchanged opinions about the present conditions of the area around Ichigao Station.

We raised information about barrier-free of Ichigao Station area. Thank you very much for your cooperation.

The 2nd District Subcommittee (Town Walk Inspection Workshop) [December 15, 2014]

Participants in addition to the members of the district subcommittee also participated, and after actually checking the site and compiling issues.

The 3rd District Subcommittee [July 3, 2015]

We arranged result of "town walk inspection workshop" and examined measures to cope with problem of district.

The 4th District Subcommittee [December 8, 2015]

We coordinated with company about measures to address problem of district and proposed basic design draft based on the result.
