1.Introduction
In Yokohama City, following the enforcement of the Barrier-Free Law (Law Concerning the Promotion of Smooth Movement of Elderly and Disabled Persons) in December 2006, everyone can conduct independent daily and social life We are promoting barrier-free measures to create an environment where people can do it.
In November 2018, Totsuka Ward created the Basic Concept for Barrier-Free in Totsuka Ward, and in March 2013, Izumi Ward created the Basic Concept for Barrier-Free in the Area around Izumi-Chuo Station and Tateba Station.
Ooba Station is located across Totsuka Ward and Izumi Ward, and is a hub for local transportation, and cultural facilities, welfare facilities and commercial facilities are concentrated around the area. In July 2022, we created a new "Basic Concept for Barrier-Free in the Area around Odoriba Station."
This time, for the realization of this basic design, we have formulated the "Yokohama-shi Odoriba Station Area Road Specific Business Plan".
In the future, we will implement the project based on this plan.

In addition, efforts are imposed on these existing facilities to comply with the standards.
Promotion of barrier-free facilities in priority areas
In municipalities, based on the Barrier-Free Law, facilities used by the elderly and disabled gather in areas centered on passenger facilities such as railway stations, and areas where movement between facilities is usually carried out on foot (important maintenance area), we will formulate the "Barrier-Free Basic Concept" in order to promote barrier-free public transportation, buildings, roads, off-street parking lots, city parks, traffic lights, etc. with emphasis and integrally and integrally.
(2) What is the Basic Concept of Barrier-Free?
