Request for Survivor's Employees' Pension
The survivor's welfare pension is paid to the bereaved family when an insured member of the Employee Pension Plan (Kosei Nenkin) or an old Employee Pension Plan (Kosei Nenkin) beneficiary dies. Basically, the pension is proportional to the compensation paid in addition to the basic survivor's pension.
The survivor's welfare pension is paid to the survivor's bereaved when the insured or the insured meets any of the following requirements.
- When the insured dies
- When he died within 5 years of first visit (Shoshin) due to injury or illness of first visit (Shoshin) Day while he was insured
- When the beneficiary of the first or second grade disability welfare pension or the beneficiary of the first or second grade disability pension before the revision dies.
- When a beneficiary of the old-age Employee Pension Plan (Kosei Nenkin) or a person who satisfies the eligibility period for the old-age Employee Pension Plan (Kosei Nenkin), or a beneficiary of the old-age or total old-age pension before the revision dies.
Insurance premium payment requirements
In the case of “1.” and “2.” above, if the person who died, if there is an insured period up to two months before the month to which the day of death belongs, it is necessary to satisfy the premium payment requirement that the sum of the paid period of National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) and the exemption period, etc., be at least two-thirds of the insured period.

Scope of Survivors

- Husbands, parents, and grandparents must be at least 55 years old (however, parents or grandparents will be suspended until the age of 60).
Survivors whose livelihood was maintained by the insured person or the insured person are those who had the same livelihood as those who died at the time of acquiring the right to receive the survivor's welfare pension. If it is deemed that your income will not exceed 8.5 million yen per year in the future.
Ranking of Survivors
Survivors who can receive the survivor's welfare pension are (1) spouses and children, (2) parents, (2) grandchildren, and (3) grandparents who have maintained their livelihood by the deceased. However, there is an age limit for other than wife.
If the previous ranking is paid, the later ranking is not eligible to receive payment.
