Types of public pension, etc. Basic retirement pension (1)

In principle, those who have paid the premium (including the premium exemption period) for more than 10 years are eligible for the basic retirement pension after the age of 65.

Request for old age basic pension
(1) National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin)’s premium paid period <paid period>

(2) Period during which National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin)'s premium was exempted (full or partial) <Exemption period>

(3) Period during which National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) deferred payment

(4) Period during which the student payment exception was received by National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin)

(5) After April 1961, Employee Pension Plan (Kosei Nenkin) was insured or a member of a mutual aid association (limited to the period between the ages of 20 and 60)

(6) Period during which he was the third insured

(7) Empty period <Total period>
In principle, a period of at least 10 years is required.
This refers to the period during which a person who can voluntarily join National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) did not participate voluntarily.
※This includes when calculating whether the eligibility period for receiving the basic retirement pension is met, but not when calculating the pension amount.
※Example of empty period <Total period>
1. Between April 1961 and March 1986, the period during which the spouse had joined the Employee Pension Plan (Kosei Nenkin) and Mutual Aid Association and did not join any pension (limited to the period between the ages of 20 and 60)
2. Between April 1961 and March 1991, students who were eligible for voluntary participation in National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) did not participate voluntarily (limited to those between the ages of 20 and 60).
3. Period during which Japanese nationals lived abroad between the ages of 20 and 60 after April 1961
4. The period during which Employee Pension Plan (Kosei Nenkin) received withdrawal allowance after April 1961
(There must be an insurance premium paid period, including the exemption period, between April 1986 and the age of 65.)
5. Insured periods such as Employee Pension Plan (Kosei Nenkin) before April 1961, which are eligible for the total period
6. From April 1961 to March 1986, the period in which a person or spouse who satisfies the eligibility period of Employee Pension Plan (Kosei Nenkin), etc. did not join pension.
