Disability Basic Pension's billing address

1. Being an insured person of National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) on first visit (Shoshin) Day (the day when a doctor was first treated for illness or injury).
   Or a person who is insured by National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) and is between 60 and 65 years old and has Address in Japan.
2. There must be a period in which at least two-thirds of the premium was paid (including the exemption period) during the insured period up to two months before the month to which first visit (Shoshin) Day belongs.

※If you have first visit (Shoshin) Day by March 31, 2026, you will be entitled to the exception of “2.” unless there is a period of nonpayment of insurance premiums for one year up to two months before the month to which first visit (Shoshin) Day belongs.

3． Being in a state of disability of grade 1 or 2 in the disability grade table specified by a Cabinet Order on the date of disability recognition. Or, when the person who did not fall under the date of disability certification came to fall by the day before the age of 65.

※Those who were eligible for voluntary participation in National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) prior to March 1991 and those who were eligible for voluntary participation in National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) prior to March 1986 and who were not eligible for Disability Basic Pension etc. because they did not voluntarily participate during the period covered by National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin), may be eligible for special disability benefits.

If you have a disability due to illness or injury that has first visit (Shoshin) Day before you reach the age of 20, you can receive Disability Basic Pension if you reach the age of 20 (if the date of disability certification is after the age of 20, the date of disability is in grade 1 or grade 2).
In addition, even if you reach the age of 20 or are not in a state of disability that falls under Disability Basic Pension on the date of disability recognition, you will be entitled to Disability Basic Pension upon request if it falls under the age of 65.
However, in this case, Disability Basic Pension has a personal income limit.

As a general rule, one year and six months have passed since the first medical treatment was received due to illness or injury. Or the day when symptoms are fixed within 1 year and 6 months.
Even if you do not fall into a state of disability on the date of disability recognition, you may claim Disability Basic Pension if you fall into grade 2 or higher by the day before you reach the age of 65.

The child's additional amount is added when there is a child who maintains a living. In addition, a child is a child up to the first March 31 after turning 18 years old, or a child under the age of 20 who is in a state of disability grade 1 or 2.

Payment will be made from the month following the month to which the date of disability certification (if the date of disability certification is before the age of 20, the date of reaching the age of 20) belongs (in the case of post-severe illness, the month following the month to which the claim was made) or died It will be paid until the month of the day when the disability no longer falls into the state of the degree corresponding to the disability grade.
