Yokohama City and Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. (Nissan Motors) have signed a partnership agreement on August 19, 2019 with the aim of contributing to regional revitalization, an innovation city, Yokohama suitable for Yokohama, with Zero Carbon Yokohama, as well as urban brand power and regional revitalization.

１．Process of Conclusion of Partnership Agreement
Nissan was founded in Yokohama (now Yokohama Plant) in 1933, and in 2009 the Nissan Global Headquarters moved to Yokohama Minatomirai in 2009.
To date, Yokohama City and Nissan have been working together in a variety of fields, including the Yokohama Marathon, Yokohama Mobility Project ZERO (2009), a project aimed at promoting the spread of electric vehicles, as well as cooperation in sports events such as the Yokohama Marathon, and cultural projects such as the Yokohama Sound Festival, and demonstration experiments on new transportation services utilizing autonomous driving technologies.

２．Coordination items
（１） Matters related to initiatives and dissemination that lead to innovation creation in cooperation with local companies.
（２） Thing about promotion and spread enlightenment of environmental approach for sustainable society.
（３） Contribute to town development and the bustle of the town.
（４） Contribute to cultural programs and sporting events.
（５） In addition, contributing to the improvement of citizens' lives and the revitalization of local communities determined through discussions between Yokohama City and Nissan Motor.

３．Future cooperation
Based on the cooperation agreement concluded this time, in fiscal 2020, we will collaborate with Yokohama City and local companies and organizations to promote a project to disseminate innovation from Minatomirai both domestically and internationally.
In this project, Nissan will set up a limited-time facility in a part of the Minato Mirai 21 Central District 60 and 61 districts in the central district of Minatomirai 21 to hold exhibitions using IoT technology and public participation events, as well as a place to experience the future society and innovation.
Details of the project will be announced once the details are finalized.
