Inspection and reporting obligations for firefighting equipment, etc.

 According to Article 17, Paragraph 1 of the Fire Services Act, persons involved (owners / managers) of fire prevention objects (excluding the Fire Services Act Enforcement Ordinance Appendix 1 (20)) that require the installation of fire-fighting equipment, etc.・ Occupants) are obliged to regularly inspect fire-fighting equipment, etc., regardless of the size of the building, and report the results.

The following items will be confirmed according to the type of fire-fighting equipment, etc., according to the standards specified in the notification.

  • Emergency power supply (limited to private power generation equipment) or attached to firefighting equipment, etc.
    Normal operation of power fire pump
  • Appropriate placement of fire-fighting equipment and other equipment
    Whether or not there is damage or other items that can be determined mainly from appearance
  • Matters that can be distinguished from the appearance or by simple operation regarding the functions of firefighting equipment, etc.
Comprehensive inspection Every year

By operating all or part of the fire-fighting equipment, etc., or by using the fire-fighting equipment, etc.
Confirm the comprehensive functions of the fire-fighting equipment, etc. will be confirmed according to the type of fire-fighting equipment, etc., according to the standards specified in the notification.


Others (Notes, etc.)

  • Please carry out and report on all fire-fighting equipment installed in the building in units of fire prevention objects.
    (If there are multiple buildings on the premises, such as factories, reports created for each building can be collectively reported.)
  • When special firefighting equipment is installed, there is an obligation to conduct inspections and reports based on the installation and maintenance plan.
  • Attach the inspection form that describes the latest equipment inspection and comprehensive inspection.
