Participated in the German Christmas Market in Tsuzuki 2023
"German Christmas Market in Tsuzuki 2023" was held on Saturday, December 9 and December 10 (Sun). This year, which was held for the twelfth time, was different from last year, which was chilly, and a large number of visitors came under warm weather that could not be expected in December.
At the venue, in addition to opening food and beverage booths such as German sausage and Grew wine, stage performances by artists related to Tsuzuki, sales of leopkuchen and adventclanz workshops, etc. The venue was colored with a lot of content.
I will appear in the stage performance on the second day, "Cheers in German", greeting the local people, and "Cheers Song" with members of the German Academy and the Commercial Promotion Association. I sang. I feel that being able to sing not only on the stage but also in both German and Japanese words with everyone at the venue was a communication for mutual understanding between Japan and Germany.
In addition, as a first attempt this year, in cooperation with Toin University of Yokohama, he was in charge of sales of merchandise booths, arrangement and guidance of queues lined up at eating and drinking booths, and guidance at garbage stations. Thank you very much for your success in the smooth operation of the event. I hope that students will be involved in the management of this event, which is loved in the community, will be a source of future support.
Thank you very much for being able to hold this event every year at the Centerkita Ekimae Lawn Plaza with the cooperation of many stakeholders.
Going forward, we will continue to collaborate with local communities, German schools, and German companies to promote multicultural coexistence from Tsuzuki Ward , which has a deep connection with Germany, and to create even more lively local communities.
Mayor of Tsuzuki Kenichi Sasada
