September is Respect for the Elderly Month! I visited the celebration of the oldest person in the city.
September is the Keiro Month that celebrates the longevity of the elderly who have contributed to society for many years.
Tsuzuki Ward has 80 people (as of September 1) who will be over 100 years old by the end of this fiscal year.
On September 15, we paid a courtesy call to Toyo Ando, the oldest (female) in the city, giving congratulations and handing out souvenirs.
Toyo Ando is 108 years old, born in 1915. Currently, he is in a facility in Yokohama, where he eats his own meals, and eats his favorite rice crackers every day. I heard that you do not take any medicine for chronic illness and you are still healthy.
I felt the wonderfulness of being able to grow older in health and I was very well.
I hope that you will continue to stay healthy and calm, and that you will have a longevity.
Kenichi Sasada, Director of Tsuzuki
