[50th] Congratulations on the "Excellence Award" of the "Activity to Brighten Society" composition contest!

Last Updated February 14, 2022
We divided into two days, Thursday, February 3 and Monday, February 7, and visited Kirigaoka Gakuen Elementary School and Tana Junior High School with Chairman Kimura Protection Chairman.
The campaign to brighten society is aimed at creating a safe, secure and bright society free from crime and delinquency (refer to the June 2021 issue of Yokohama Midori Ward), and is held annually by members of the Midori Ward, including the Presidency, the Women's Association for Rehabilitation and Protection, the Union Neighborhood Association and the Police.
An essay contest is also held every year, and this time, Midori Ward selected six excellence awards out of 84 works. (4 works from Kirigaoka Gakuen Elementary School, 2 works from Tana)
At the school, remote morning meetings are being held with the spread of infectious diseases, so I borrowed that time and in front of a camera or a tablet with a camera (!) A certificate of commendation was awarded to the winners. I felt a little like a YouTuber.
The winners commented, "I am happy to be able to participate in a campaign to brighten society through this essay and receive such an award."
When I read the essay, it seemed that the little things in everyday life triggered me to feel compassion and appreciation for others, and the importance of everyday greetings.
I felt that this kind of initiative would pass on the seeds of a safe and secure desire for community development to the next generation. The essay contest will be held in the next fiscal year, so please apply for many applications.
