FeaturesIt blooms from mid-May to mid-June. It was named Satsuki (Satsuki) because the flowers bloom in May of the lunar calendar. It grows naturally in the Kanto region, Kyushu region, and Yakushima. It has long been popular as a bonsai and garden tree, and is now said to have more than 1,000 varieties. At present, you can see the mad blooming Satsuki in front of the main building of Environmental Activity Support Center.
