Characteristics | Calmir came into Japan in 1915. It is said that the mayor of Tokyo donated cherry blossoms to the United States, it was the first gift to be given together with dogwood. It belongs to the azalea family, but unlike so-called azaleas, the flower is about 2 cm in size. It has a geometrical and interesting shape. The flowering season is from April to May, and can be seen under the site of a large greenhouse in Environmental Activity Support Center. |
