Characteristics

It's also known as trophia. It was named because the mucus contained in the root resembles a trollo. Root mucus is used as glue when Japanese paper is paper and has been cultivated since ancient times. Also, unlike the vegetable "okra", "flower okra" is edible for flowers. Flowers have slime like okra, and they can be eaten deliciously when dressing or soy sauce is applied. The flowering season is from July to August. It blooms in the morning and squeezes in the evening. The diameter of the flower is large and about 30 cm. Because it blooms one after another, you can enjoy flowers for about a month. In Environmental Activity Support Center, you can see it in the flower bed near the training exhibition hall.
