| Characteristics | Deciduous shrub that grows naturally in the area adjacent to the Genkai Sea. Among the azaleas, it blooms early, and pale red flowers bloom before the leaves come out in March or April. It is registered as a near-endangered species on the Ministry of the Environment's Red List. In Environmental Activity Support Center you can see it in front of the main office building. |
