CharacteristicsIt is an evergreen shrub with a height of 1-2 meters that was introduced to Japan around the Edo period (1681-1687) and is planted for ornamental use. It blooms yellow flowers bloom in early spring. The Japanese name means that the leaves are southern sky similar to holly.
