Overview of Regional Greening Plan

[Planning name] Plan to make Sakurazaka and greenery in Higashitotsuka a symbol of the region 2
[Promotion organization name] "Meeting for Cherry Blossom Hill,"
[Overview of the Plan] (Excerpt from the Regional Greening Plan)

There are three different zones, such as sunshine, drainage, and vegetation, and we will promote greening according to each characteristic and create a hill that will be a symbol of the area that local residents can enjoy throughout the four seasons.

  1. The cherry blossom landscape zone is a section on the eastern slope of the hill, where the road to Higashi Totsuka Station and the JR Line run side by side, and passers-by and passengers can enjoy greenery. Weeds and miscellaneous trees from the former JR property and Doyashiki Park will be removed, the row of cherry trees will be revived, and new plants will be planted with hydrangeas and other flowers will be planted to increase the degree of completion as a famous cherry blossom spot in the area.
  2. The Green Corridor Zone is a flatland on the north side of the hill, with the goal of creating a green Corridor with Maetamachi Neighborhood Associations, with flowers and trees that grow well even on land with high groundwater levels.
  3. The green interchange zone is a forest with a satoyama-like atmosphere on the southern slope of the hill where the sidewalk penetrates. Improve sunshine, build flower gardens such as green plant seedlings and narcissus in unused areas, plant tree species preferred by wild birds and insects, and interact with children and the elderly, condominium residents and local residents through greenery Make a place.
